The cast of SPOOGE with director Joshua James.

GRETCHEN ALLISON (Mary Jo, Assertive Female), a native of Michigan moved to New York three years ago and has been studying acting since. She is a student at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and has been involved in commercial print for the past 10 years. She is making her theatre debut here at the Riant Theatre.

CHUCK BUNTING (Rick the Dick, Man) This is Chuck Bunting's third Joshua James play. He was previously seen in The Men's Room, and he created the role of Bear in Bodily Functions. He has also been seen in For Love of the Game, Spin City, and in the role of Andy Griffith in Mayberry Live in North Carolina.

LOUIS CARBONNEAU (The Beaver, Willie the Wanker, and others) is pleased to be spoogin' with Josh again after having dome so with him in The Men's Room at the Director's Company. He's recently performed in God's Creations at the Lash Theater Co. and Noah's Archives at the Ohio Theatre. Love to Marci.

YURY DELATORRE' (Jose, Nice Guy) recently earned his film certificate at the New School to understand the film process and attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. His favorite roles were leading thug roles in indie films, Johnny in Hatful of Rain, Edmund in King Lear and Karen Sosa Guiliani III in School For Wives. I give thanks to whoever supported me (you know who you are)!!

ATO ESSANDOH (Adonis, Fred the Fag) is happy to be working again with Joshua having performed previously in Joshua's last play, Tall Boy Walkin' at the Riant Theatre. Ato would like to thank his family and friends for their support.

JOAN FAUST (Mom, Grandma) loves being able to appear here at the Riant Theatre. She has been a member for two years and finds it a wonderful place to hone her craft. Van Dirk Fisher, the Artistic Director, is a consummate writer, actor and director with wonderful insight into each character. His guidance has been invaluable. Van is also to be applauded for giving young actors and new playwrights the opportunity to develop their work. Many of them, including Joshua James, will one day find themselves on Broadway. Joan would like to thank her family and friends for their love and support.

NICK GARFINKLE (Nice Guy, Dobie, Boy) would like to thank Joshua James for giving him the opportunity to say FUCK for the first time on stage . . . on purpose.

CHRISTINE HARRIGAN (Skipper, Assertive Female, and others) studied with William Esper Studios and T. Schreiber Studio. She has two national commercial and has appeared in Saturday Night Live, Cradle Will Rock, and Celebrity. She has performed in several theatre productions in New York such as The Wild West, Flowers For Algernon, Raised in Captivity, Extremities, and The Balding Soprano. She would like to thank Van Fisher and Michael Lehr for this opportunity and her mom and dad for their love and support.

CLYDE KELLY (Dad, Grandpa, and others) has appeared in various stock productions, TV shows, movies, off and off-off Broadway. Clyde's many outstanding performances include Uncle Bey in The Little Foxes, the Duke of York in Richard II, Antrobus in Skin of Our Teeth and Jerry in Harold Pintor's Betrayal.

JOANNA MAYFIELD (Ex-Girlfriend, Woman) was last seen in the 1920s musical revue I Want To Be Happy (Chatham Theatre Company) at Woodstock. Regional credits include Arsenic & Old Lace, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Guys & Dolls, Hamlet, and Little Shop of Horrors. Originally from Texas, Joanna came to New York City to waitress, but acting in the meantime. Special thanks to David, Joyce, Richard and Frank.

MARY SHERIDAN (Ex-Girlfriend, Diana, and others), a Spokane, WA native, finished studying History at Yale University last spring. Her first appearance at the Riant was Valentine in Feydeau's Ladies Man this September. Mary's favorite theatre credits include: Ophelia in Hamlet; Maria in West Side Story; Stage Manager in Our Town. Mary studies dance at Broadway Dance Center and is doing a cabaret of Irish music at Danny's Skylight Room on December 8th at 7 PM. (You're invited!) Mary is relieved to cast off the "nice girl nest door" image for this production. Thanks to Laura and Kristin.

JENNIFER SHIRLEY (Madonna, Ex-Girlfriend, Assertive Female, and others) is coming up on 10 years in New York at the change of the Millenium. She got her BA from Sarah Lawrence College, and spent the last year in The Actor's Center Conservatory program. She was last seen as Chick in Crimes Of The Heart with the Paper Moon Players. Thanks to all her wonderful friends, and love to Marco.

RAVEN SNOOK (Venus and others) is best known for her one woman autobiographical show called How I Became a Drag Queen Trapped in a Woman's Body, which she has performed in both NYC and San Francisco. She hopes to bring it to Australia in the year 2000. Raven has performed all over NYC, including Musical Theatre Works, Theatre For The New City, Expanded Arts, Don't Tell Mamma, The Duplex, etc. Venus is a role near and dear to her heart. JAMES EARL STEWART (Reverend Al) I wish to thank the entire cast for their support, Joshua James for his insight of my character Rev. Al, and Artistic Director Van Dirk Fisher for being my friend.

CYNTHIA WEHR (Ex-Girlfriend, Girl, and others) is a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. Recent shows include Tartuffe, The Three Sisters, School For Scandal, Little Mildred's Dog, Macbeth, The Fifth Of July and The Bald Soprano. She would like thank her parents, friends and rest of the world. May all beings everywhere be happy and free.

KAREN WILSON (Daphne the Dyke, Assertive Female) is currently a member of the Riant Theatre where has been in several productions. She would like to thank God, writer/director Joshua James for his time, energy, and support and all of you for joining us here at the Riant.
